Gov officals try to prove they aren't wasting tax payer money by wasting tax payer money

This goes out to Betty McCollum and Jack Kingston.  They are congress people of opposites of the aisle, and one would argue, getting them working together would be a fantastic idea.  One problem, they are working together to waste time.  The proposed bill/amendment about Military use of money for sponsorship is both misguided and hypocritical.  They state that it's a waste of tax payer money while we need a budget cut. Fair, but it is not an improvement if you are spending the same money, just in a different place.  It's also hypocritical to state that it's a waste of money to sponsor Nascar, bass fishing, and mixed martial arts, but it's not to sponsor the NBA, NFL, MLB, MLS, or other motor sports. The funny thing is NASCAR is bigger than almost all of them besides the NFL.  More fans show up to a NASCAR race than do the super bowl.  Not to mention, when you sponsor a car, you logo appears on every shirt that is sold, and no money comes back from that? Then the government didn't do it's job because every private company that is a sponsor gets a cut of memorbilia sales. 

Betty, I won't spend another time in the city of St. Paul, because of you. In my opinion one of the greatests cities in the country, let alone MN. I won't spend a dime there, including the Xcel Energy Center or science Muesum, or Cossettas.  If you really want to scale back the budget, than cut the funding to all sports, you are single handly picking a fight with NASCAR. Have you ever been to a race? Have you seen the military support?  No, if you had you wouldn't be pushing this. Your counter part, who resides in GA has also never been to a race.  So how can you speak so intelligently on it?  He also said that an Air Force recruiter doesn't know anything about recruiting.  That if the Pentagon can come up with hard numbers no recruiter could.  I guess I need to see Jack about everything because according to him, you all know more than people that actual do a job.

You spent a whole day, wasting tax payer money over this.  I had to take time out of my day to write to all my reps, to educate them because of your hypocricy.  You want to reach across the aisle and fix something?  Term limits to end career politicians.  Public funding for campaign finance to make it equal for all.  Look at the money wasted on the drug war, a war that factual CAN NOT BE WON!  Admit to everyone how we spend more on the drug war than we do education, and if you look at the money spent out of the military budget for the drug war (raid, swat teams, etc. come from the defense budget as it's military or para military training) that we may spend almost double on the drug war than we do education.  Or maybe, find away to bring health care costs down, as Obamacare is not the answer and you know it.  Maybe if you all had to use the same insurance that your constitutiants do, you would actually get something accomplished.  Keep your eye on the ball, my eye is making sure every incumbant is voted out, until you all realize, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!
